Spring is here, finally. The fields outside are blooming with Dandylions- rather pretty. But alas I am thinking of crafters and time frames as I cough my way through the morning - got sick last week as I ventured into the general populas of the immigration office (an officer was sick)or maybe it was when a sweet little boy sneezed on me lol. I had been working on a little set with birds, but alas I got stuck, so I started to flitter and flutter and ended up thinking of 4th of July. A super day for the US but also for me as my mum comes for a visit..horray a break from washing up and some one to fix me a cup of coffee.. ohh I love my mum. Anway here is the start of my 4th of July set- it is really just a start. I hope you will like it when it is finished and I hope I finish too ;D

all the best & hugs jehanne

Hi,
I am sitting here freezing my (family friendly site). Forgot to bring wood in last night for the fire place and too scared to go outside in the pitch black incase I meet a trespassing cat

Contemplating that my bed is warm and cosy and I am here at the pc since 3am. But alas I will go make another hot cup of instant coffee and paint some more before the my monsters wake up and mummy slave starts. My monsters have increased by 1, so I now have 3- a new puppy Boris- he is such a sweet terror. anyway I got to go now, but before I do I thought I’d share what is on my drawing board with you. I hope it does not end up in the bin

, and that you will like the end product.
hugs

p.s A question… why is it coldest always just before the sun rises??? It is as if the sun sucks up all the surrounding heat in order to get the energy it needs to rise into the sky ????

I haven’t come up with a name for her - thought I’d hear what you all would like - so let me know! Let’s give her name together

Greetings! Let me tell you a bit about my newest set posted in the store, and how it came to be. The set is Treat Toppers - Around the Year, and I came up with the idea one morning after designing some toppers for the refrigerated Jello® containers my boys were taking in their lunches that day. It just happened to be my youngest sons’s birthday, so I wanted to give him a special surprise greeting, and I didn’t want his brother to feel left out either, so I designed a holiday greeting for him. I’m never content to do just a simple thing, so about 2 hours later, I finally had the 2 designs finished and attached to the Jello®, and was on my way to school to deliver the lunches! lol!!
Well, I got to thinking about how much easier it would have been if I had already had the designs finished for every holiday and special occasion, and had only had to print them out and stick them to the top of the Jello® containers! And then I started thinking of all of the other little treats the boys take in their occasional lunches….and for their monthly classroom treat obligations….and for their Cub Scout dens….and, well, a kit idea was born! I decided that there were must be other moms, grandmothers, teachers, den leaders, and treat-givers extraordinare in the world who liked to give their treats with a little extra panache, but who didn’t always have the time to design individual treat toppers for every treat-topping occasion (or who would just like to save a little time now and then!). So, here is my personal yearly treat kit, to save you time and gain you kudos!!

Will it be well-received? Well, my 6- and 7-year-old boys brought their Jello® toppers home from lunch that day, instead of throwing them away, and they are still pinned to their bulletin boards. I consider that a success! (And the boys loved the samples above from the new kit, too!)
Look for a free sample topper & note set on my personal blog soon!
Thanks for your continued support of my printables, and of Olivia’s site!

When I was little, momma used to take scraps of clothes that we’d grown out of and make quilts out of them. She’d cut those clothes into squares and sew ‘em up and put it on top of a warm cozy blanket. Some of those old quilts are still around and I can still remember where different scraps came from - a favorite night gown, those awful striped bell bottoms I didn’t like, my favorite Easter dress…
That was the inspiration for my lastest scrapbook set. I always loved curling up with those quilts and I hope you’ll love creating some memories of your own with this new set.
Hugs and more hugs,
Susie
Oh p.s. - I put up a freebies link on my site www.bewhimsical.com
Hope you like them

My son, who is so smart it’s scray sometimes, also has such a jokester side to him - and he’s usually so quiet and studious, sometimes, it is such a surprise! He is such a joy, I can’t even tell you. He loves to tell jokes and riddles and even to read books full of riddles. This newest set, was inspired by his discovery of some “old” jokes and riddles.
What’s black and white and read all over? A newspaper! Or, in this case, a new scrapbook set!
This set is a departure from my usual pinks and greens, purples and yellows. I’d love to hear what you think! Hugs and more hugs,
Susie

I am turning in what has probably been one of my favorite sets so far - a butterfly scrapbook set! It’s delicious, if I do say so myself! But what has been the most fun about creating this set is the little helper I’ve had - my kitty, Georgie. We have two Maltese - Joey and Jasmine, but I have wanted to add a kitten to the family for a long time and on Mother’s Day this year, my incredible family surprised with a beautiful grey ball of fur with huge grey eyes! He’s fantastic and the dogs have pretty much accepted him in their own way (joey - the king of the house simply ignores him and jasmine tries to be his momma!) We’ve been having so much fun watching Georgie discover new things and yesterday, he finally discovered the computer screen! He chased the mouse all over the screen for about an hour before settling down for a nap and then was back at it again when I sat down later in the evening. Talk about the cat chasing the mouse!! I laughed so hard, tears ran down my face.
Anyway, I hope y’all are enjoying all the wonderful new things happening at Olivia’s site - it is an exciting time.
Hugs and more hugs!
Susie
